On December 12th, 2024, Peter Howe, CFO and Winston Henderson, VP General Counsel, attended the Open House hosted by the Community Caring Clinic (CCC), serving Roxbury and surrounding neighborhoods. The CCC provides behavioral and mental healthcare services to empower disadvantaged individuals, families, and youth to take control of their destiny.
The open house recognized the clinic’s accomplishments, identified harm reduction partnerships, and engaged in discussions on treating substance use disorder (SUD) and addressing the overdose crisis.
We appreciated the in-depth conversations with the CCC team, including President Abdifatah Ahmed, Executive Director Dr. Mohamed Abdullahi, Medical Director Dr. Xenia Johnson Bhembe, Director of Development and Clinical Operations Dr. Benjamin Ocasio, and Clinical Director Dr. Robert Page.
We also met Kelly Young of Mayor Wu’s Office, Director of the city’s Coordinated Response Team; State Representative Chynah Tyler; staff from City Council President Ruthzee Louijeune; and Boston’s Commissioner of Public Health Dr. Bisola Ojikutu.
