Clear Scientific Welcomes New Board Member

Clear Scientific is excited to welcome our new Board of Directors member Emme Deland.

Ms. Deland is Senior VP & Chief Strategy Officer of New York – Presbyterian (NYP).


Since 2001, Emme has been responsible for developing clinical and corporate strategies for NYP a 4,000-bed, $8 billion academic healthcare system affiliated with Weill Cornell University Medicine and Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She oversees the hospital’s response to healthcare policy changes, leading to founding of the NYP Ventures, the physician leadership education program LEAD, New York Quality Care, the ACO of NYP, Weill Cornell, and CUIMC and supports the ongoing development of NYP as the leader in the adoption of new technologies such as telehealth and artificial intelligence.


Previously, she worked at Mount Sinai Medical Center and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. Prior to joining the health care field, she was an international banker at Chemical Bank. Emme graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College with a BA in East Asian Studies and obtained her MBA from Columbia University. She is a director of the Kornfeld and Zeitz Foundations. Emme is on the board of Orchestra of St. Luke’s, The Park Avenue Armory, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and American Memorial Hospital in Rheims, France.
